Taylor's YouTube Pick of the Week is "In the Ghetto" from American Idol:

The week before Elvis week Chris Daughtry and I were discussing song choices with Simon Cowell during the end of the show. Now that was totally against the rules, but that was a way to get a word in with the judges before u performed that week. That was the format of the show. The Judges would come up sometimes and congratulate us. That's when u could talk to them..Simon said "In the Ghetto" was one of his favorites so I took that song and musically arranged it where it grooved more... Think Donny Hathaway.... Needless to say I was moving on that week.

Perhaps my favorite Taylor moment!  I recall commentators saying that that performance was the defining moment ot American Idol that year.  Randy was right--that is completely Taylor's vibe.
