I met Taylor on that day and he made me a fan for life. He was larger than life and sweet as can be. He signed a poster to the Soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division and his performance of 19 left me in tears. So many performers have forgotten about Soldiers who still place themselves in harm's way...it is clearly evident that this is not the case with Soul Patrol. I was so amazed by his love for music and his performance, but even more touched that he really made it a special event by highlighting the talents of his band - and boy are they amazing, especially the percussionist, and woodwind player (that guy made the saxophone do things I have never seen done in two decades of playing). To Taylor: you have my love and respect always - if only there were guys in NY like you. My only regret is that I do not have a picture of us together to remember that day. Any time you want to come to Fort drum to perform let me know.

Wow, love this photo!! Taylor looks like he is having so much fun. I wish I could have been there. Come back to Texas please. :-)
