Clean and maintain your Ruger 44 Carbine. This Centerfire Rifles Assembly/Disassembly download makes it simple, thanks to author J.B. Wood's expertise, step-by-step instructions and crisp photography. Manufacturer: Ruger Model: 44 Carbine (S# 61450 thru 102-51716) Add to Wish List Add to Compare Recoil Block Bolt Washer - Original. This Ruger manufactured recoil block bolt washer is for the model 44 semi-auto carbine and is in ver.. $2.25 The old Ruger is a neat little carbine. I had one for quite a few years and found it a reliable brush whitetail rifle. A couple of things to consider: when Ruger brought the 44 carbine out in 1963 or 1964, there were no 44 magnum factory loads heavier than 240 grain bullets available. The most collectable of the breed are the early "Deerstalker" marked guns, which often reach the $800-$900 mark if in good condition (especially with the now 50+ year old box and manual). A Ruger Model 44 with a Bushnell Sportview scope (top) and a Ruger 10/22 with a Weaver K4 scope (bottom). It uses a rotating-bolt short-stroke gas-piston. It was introduced in 2000 and discontinued in 2006.. The Deerfield Carbine replaced the earlier Ruger Model 44 Deerstalker rifle first produced in 1961 and dropped from the Ruger lineup in 1985 due to high production cost. At $550, you should pull the trigger on it. This is not a particularly collectable/valuable rifle, but, as I recall, this was Ruger's first long gun and it being marked Deerslayer is somewhat notable (Ithaca issued a cease and desist on trademark infringement in {1962?} so there weren't huge numbers made before it became the .44 carbine. Hello to all. I have brought a Ruger Deerstalker in .44 magnum and I am serching the rings to install a little optic. The question is: The holes on the receiver are the same of the Ruger 10/22??? There are other rings or weaver that are compatible with this gun? Thanks in advance. Ciao Nino
