Your digital highlights should be far more useful than just a yellow line on your screen. Most eBook reader apps don't make it that simple to do more with your highlights and bookmarks, so in this tutorial, I'll show you how to use the best apps for your Mac, iPad, iPhone, PC, and Android devices to get the most out of your eBook annotations. This guide helps you get started using Pages 12.1 on your iPad. (To see which version of Pages you have, go to Settings > Pages.) To explore the Pages User Guide, tap Table of Contents at the top of the page, or enter a word or phrase in the search field. You can also download this guide from Apple Books (where available). Step 1. Import Your PDF Files Launch PDFelement on your computer. Click the "Convert PDF" button on the Home window. A conversion window will appear. Here you can click "Add Files" to load all your PDFs at once for batch conversion. Step 2. OCR from PDF to Word Select "EPUB" as the output format in the top right-hand corner drop-down list. Let's check how it works: Step 1: Launch iTunes. Step 2: Click "File" >> select "Add to Library" or "Add Folder to Library" from the drop-down menu. Step 3: Connect your iPad with your computer through the USB cable. Step 4: Select your iPad under the "Devices" section in iTunes. Step 1. Open your document in preview by pressing control-click and choosing "Open with Preview" or dragging and dropping the file into Preview. Step 2. Navigate to the top right corner. Click on the highlighter pen. Step 3. Select the text you want to highlight and apply it. You can change the color of the highlighter on the toolbar. Now drag the new version of the PDF onto iTunes…. Plug in your iPad, go to "Books", and make sure the new version of the PDF file is selected: Sync it up, and when it's done, take your iPad and launch iBooks. If you're in the PDF area (by default you're in "Books": Look on the top left), you'll see it show up: Tap on it Download and launch iBook Author app on your Mac, then open your iBook with this program. Step 2. Click "Share" > "Export" from the top toolbar, and next, choose the PDF format button in the new window. Step 3. Set the image quality and security option as you want, and click on the "Next" button. Step 4. Tap Highlight, then tap to choose a highlight color or underline. To remove a highlight or underline, tap the text, then tap . To see all of your highlights, tap , then tap Notes. Add a note Touch and hold a word, then move the grab points to adjust the selection. Tap Note, then enter note text. Tap the page to close the note and continue reading. Navigate to the PDF file (s) you want to add to iBooks. You can choose single or multiple PDF documents at a time, then click Choose. 3. Choose Books from iTunes list on the left, then you will see the added PDF file (s). 4. Choose one PDF > right-click > Get Info > click Options tab and check whether the Media Kind is set to Book or not. 5. It's easy to create PDFs on iPhone, iPad and Mac. On the Mac, you've always been able to create a PDF just by printing a document, then picking the Save as PDF option from the drop-down menu Go to File > Add to Library… and locate the file for the book you want to add.
