Event Description

Taylor Hicks returns home to Birmingham, Alabama, to headline Tailgate For Cure, a charity concert and football watch party, Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre. Funds raised will benefit the Alabama Institute of Medicine (AIM).

Billed as Birmingham’s biggest tailgate party, Tailgate for Cure will feature multiple big screens showing football throughout the day and a live radio remote from WJOX. Other musical performances will include Birmingham-native Sarah Simmons, who starred in the 2013 season of NBC’s The Voice; Tim Hockenberry, a San Francisco-based artist who was a semi-finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent; and band Within Reason, winner of the 2013 Grammy Awards’ Gig Of A Lifetime and special musical guest on CW’s One Tree Hill. Fans will have opportunities to meet and greet the artists and former athletes, and a kid zone will feature activities for children.
